ANTIBIOTICS

WHAT IS ANTIBIOTICS?

An antibiotic is any substance produced by any microorganism to kill another microorganism or stop its proliferation. Antibiotic production provides a selective advantage for the microorganism that produces it. For example, the antibiotics produced by Penicillium provide a significant advantage to Penicillium by preventing the growth of other microorganisms that are competing in nature.

WHY SHOULD USE ANTIBIOTICS?

There are two types of antibiotics; antibiotics that kill biocidal, microorganisms, and antibiotics that prevent the growth and proliferation of biostatics, microorganisms. Although "antibiotics" can be defined as "only" microorganisms (mostly bacteria, and some fungi), today "antibiotics" have begun to be used for all kinds of chemicals that damage pathogens. Therefore, we call such chemicals "antibiotics" naturally produced by microorganisms, animals and plants. At the same time, many naturally occurring antibiotics are modified to be more effective than artificial pathways.
